Barkley wins his 14th National Title! The final event of the CMDRA 2014 Season took place at "The Strip" in Medicine Hat. Barkley was way down in points coming into this event, needing not only the win but also at least one record in order to take the Championship. Record 7.346 E.T. at Prairie Nationals! Coming off his recent win, Barkley was focused on making consistent quick runs in his quest for a 14th National Title. A dominating win in Fort St. John Ethan came into this event down on points and looking for a strong performance to get him back in the championship hunt. The weekend started off a bit sketchy as the Northern Lights Raceway surface was less than sufficient to hold the power of Ethan's turbocharged GSX-R1000. However by the end of the event Ethan was able to put up one of the quickest Pro Street passes in CMDRA history, 7.57 seconds! Click image to read more. |

Barkley comes up short in Medicine Hat A less than perfect weekend greated Ethan at his first CMDRA event of 2014. Slippery track conditions held him back and the runs were not consistent enough to gather the neccesary data to get a handle on the track for the finals. Record 197 MPH at the IHRA Nitro Jam! In less than a week after returning from England, Thirteen Time CMDRA National Champion Ethan Barkley set a new personal best and Canadian record when he suprassed 197 MPH at the IHRA Nitro Jam sponsored by Parts Canada.
