Good
performance at Mission Raceway!
Barkley
qualified 5th on the Street class Busa with a .054 r/t, and 3rd
on Pro Street with an 8.02 @ 175. In Sunday's eliminations, Ethan
made the quarter finals in Street. On the Pro Street GSX-R he
ran an 8.0 round 1, 7.86 in round 2, and tried to post a real
low 7 in round three but was forced to shut it down due to a
huge wheeelie. Points wise, Ethan looks to be in good shape to
reclaim both Canadian titles! Photo by Frankie Nelson

New
Canadian stock wheelbase record!
Ethan
Barkley runs a big number in Mission August 22-23. The previous
record held by Cory Lacroix at 9.43 has stood for some time.
Saturday morning Ethan posted a 9.390 @ 152.3. Never satisfied,
Barkley dropped a bomb with a 9.343 @ 152.2 Sunday morning. This
bike has minimal mods, Brock pipe, lowered, Brock ultra lite
clutch
mod,

Solid
results and new record in Med. Hat!
Looking
to extend his lead in both Street and Pro Street Championship
standings, Barkley was looking to put up some good numbers. Qualifying
went well, 3rd in Pro Street and 4th in Street. Again, Ethan
won the King of the Hill on Saturday night, with a perfect 9.650
on a 9.65 dial abourd his '09 Busa, "snow white". In
eliminations, Ethan came in runner up in Street breaking out
with a 9.619 on
his 9.65 dial. In Pro, he was also runner up but not before setting
a new CMDRA speed record of 186.19 mph! Photo by Laura Barkley

A
less than perfect weekend in Edmonton
Edmonton
is normally one of EB Speed's best tracks. This year, the first
stop started off well. Qualifying number two on both bikes, things
looked promising heading into Sunday's eliminations. Unfortunately
in PS the bike crept in the semi-finals, causing a red light.
Then an internal engine issue in the pits on the GSX-R hampered
Barkley
from making
the call in the semi's on the Street class Busa. Photo by Laura

Barkley
competes against the best in the business in C.F.S.B.S. in
Grand Bend.
Ethan
came into Grand Bend with high hopes. After posting the best
time in the morning test session things looked good. After round
1 qualifying he was #1 with the only 7 second run on the property
at 7.86 @ 177mph. But he couldn't better that performance as
he couldn't come up with the proper tune for the track and lost
in the first round. Photo by fastpixs.com |

Barkley Dominates Season Opener
Picking
up where he left off last September, Barkley takes another double
win. The tricky surface was not kind to the teamlast season in
Ashcroft, but Ethan was dialed in for 2009. Opting for a mere
63" of wheelbase he drove away from the competition. Qualifying
#1 with a 8.14, Low E.T of 8.10 and a top speed of 177+ mph.
