Not
one to let up, Ethan went back to Castrol Raceway in Edmonton
for one last kick at the can. The cool fall air helped him run
his best times to date. All in all he made 8 passes that afternoon
and all but one were in the 7's, and 3 were 7.7's! 2009 here
we come!

Barkley
finishes the season on a high!
Ethan
was behind in pionts heading into the final CMDRA event, but
that didn't slow him down. He qualified #1 in Pro Street with
a solid 8.001 @ 183mph. In the
semifinals
Ethan put up an amazing 7.84 @ 181! The first 7 second pass in
CMDRA history! He went on to take the win. In the Street class,
over 30 bikes were qualified. Ethan surpased them all bracketing
a 9.60 on his '08 Busa to take the win! Click photo for full

ICON teams up with Barkley
Six-time
Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association Champion, Ethan Barkley
joined forces with ICON in 2008. Besides the new
leathers, Ethan has been using ICON's complete line of protective
gear this season, such as TiMAX gloves, Super Duty 3 boots and
the new Airframe helmet.

Mixed
results at Mission Raceway
Barkley
needed great results in Mission in order to close up in the points
battle. Qualifying went well, but Ethan suffered a first round
loss on the '08 Hayabusa in the Street Class. In Pro Street ethan
faired slightly better. He made it to the semi-finals losing
to event winner Ken Froese. However Ethan did set the top mph
for the event at just over 183 mph!

Fort
St. John event not kind to Barkley
Qualifying
went well but after that is was all downhill for Barkley. An
early first round loss in the Street class running a soft 9.921
on a 9.95 dial in. In Pro Street, the GSX-R1000 had an issue
with the airshifter, and Ethan suffered a first round loss in
it as well.

Near
perfect weekend at Castrol Raceway!
Even
though the track was very slick, Ethan had a great weekend on
both bikes. Qualifying #1 in both classes was just the start.
He also surpased 30 competitors in the Street class to take the
win on the new Busa. In Pro Street Ethan spun the tire hard in
the finals and came in second place.

Barkley
comes out on top on tricky track
Race
2 of the CMDRA all Bike series was held in Medicine Hat. What
is normally a very hot and dry place, was neither. Track conditions
were marginal but Ethan prevailed on his Pro Street GSX-R1000.
Shorteneing the wheelbase to just 62.5" allowed him to gain valuable
tracion and come home with the win.

Less
than perfect start for Barkley
Ethan
Barkley arrived in Ashcroft with high hopes. Unfortunately the
6 time National Champion had troubles in both classes. An oil
control issue forced him to bow out of the Pro Street class in
round 1. In the Street Class, Ethan pushed his new 2008 Suzuki
Hayabusa to the semifinals.

Barkley brought along his 7 second Pro Street
GSX-R1000 to the January bike show in Calgary, AB Canada.
It gave people a chance to have an up close look at the EB Speed
prepared machine. Ethan was on hand to sign posters and answer

Speed runs a 7 second 1/4 mile pass!
Ethan
Barkley made history in a late season test session at Edmonton's
Calstrol Raceway Park. Ethan ran an incredable 7.970 @ 189.79
MPH! He becomes only the second Canadian to run a 7 on a streetbike,
and the first to do so on a 1000cc machine.

Speed claims Two more Canadian Championships!
EB
Speed owner and rider Ethan Barkley claimed his 4th consecutive
CMDRA Pro Street Title and his 2nd consecutive Street E.T. title.
Ethan also set a total of six CMDRA records in the Pro Street
Class.
